Carrie’s presentation was extremely helpful to the Isle of Wight Domestic Abuse Partnership Board and provided an in-depth level of insight to the challenges older people subjected to domestic abuse face. The demographics of the Isle of Wight include a disproportionate number of older people (compared to the national averages), and therefore this is a key area of focus for us. Carrie’s presentation has helped shape our subsequent needs assessment focus and in turn strategy, which focuses on removing barriers to identification, specialist support and long-term recovery, particularly in relation to older people."
